Citadines City Centre Tbilisi

The room was decent, though the Wi-Fi kept dropping and we sometimes had to switch to 5G. The location gets five stars from me. With a four-star room and six-star service, I’d rate the whole stay five stars. The receptionists were awesome. We arrived a little early and got a complimentary early check-in, though it depended on availability. They also spent time helping us translate some very cursive Georgian medical terms. Google Translate couldn’t read them, so the staff even looked them up online.

The room was in bad shape when we arrived: the stove didn’t work, half the power sockets were dead, and the toilet was blocked. Then housekeeping threw away a plastic bag with my clothes in it. When we reported the lost property, the Front Office staff seemed reluctant to admit the mistake or apologize, and they became hostile. After we complained, they kept calling us to argue. Broken facilities are one thing, but losing a guest’s belongings and then dealing with the complaint this way was shocking and unacceptable. Our stay at Citadines City Center was a disaster. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I’d avoid this place.

Good location and a good hotel, but there was a strange smell in my room all night, probably from the drainage. I only stayed one night, thankfully. Without that odor, I would’ve given it a higher rating.

We stayed eight nights in a one-bedroom apartment, and it was a huge disappointment. They advertise the hotel with a picture of another hotel, while in reality you have to walk through an ugly, dirty alley to get there. It definitely wasn’t a four-star hotel, maybe not even three. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work when we arrived. Someone fixed it, but it kept happening again every night, and after the fourth night we gave up. The bedroom was so cramped that I had to walk on my side to reach the far side of the bed. The towels were paper-thin, not what I’d expect from a four-star hotel, and they were never changed unless we asked.
