Diplomat Hotel

A good fit for a simple traveler who wants a quiet, cozy place without much fuss. It's a little away from the city center, with big, clean rooms that are a bit dated. The older receptionist was very friendly and helpful, though he seemed reserved at first. Liberty square is about 1 km away, walkable or just 5 lari by bolt taxi. The only real drawback was the boxed breakfast: bread, jam, croissant and the like. A small buffet with fresh eggs would improve it. Otherwise, I was highly impressed, as long as you're not expecting much luxury.

The customer service was very bad, especially the lady working there, whose behavior was extremely rude. I was given a smoking room, and when I asked to change it, nobody cared. The room and toilet smelled awful, the landline didn't work, and there was no water in the room. Totally unacceptable. My request to change rooms was rejected, and I was threatened with the police and told to leave before a final decision was made. This happened after I informed agoda.come that I wanted to cancel and move to a better hotel, which I believe was my right as a customer. The way they treated me was unbelievable. The staff were aggressive and impolite. The worst hotel I've ever seen.

The room was clean every day, and the breakfast was amazingly delicious. Thank you for the very kind, accommodating staff and all your efforts to welcome us to your beautiful country. The view from our room was lovely, too. We hope to see you again on a future vacation 🥰❤️

The room had a very bad toilet smell, a broken bed base, and a mattress that seemed about 10 years old. The bed cover was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly, and my whole body felt sensitive. When I requested another room, the older man working there treated me extremely badly. My request was rejected, and I was threatened with the police and made to leave before a final decision was reached. This was after I told agoda.come I wanted to cancel my reservation and move to a better hotel, which I believe is my right as a customer. The way they handled it was unbelievable. Staff were aggressive and impolite. At 28$ a night, it wasn't worth the price. I cancelled after one night and moved to a much better hotel for the same price. The worst hotel I've ever seen. Be very careful and don't book here.
