Diuma Hotel

The room was okay, though it could use a better mattress. It’s very close to the old town, and we were able to pay by card, which can be difficult in this country where people often want cash. But there’s a karaoke bar on the ground floor, and people were talking so loudly that we couldn’t sleep all night.

I had booked four nights, but canceled three days before arrival because my wife was ill and we had to leave the country as soon as possible. They confirmed we were still within the cancellation window and should only be charged for one night, but they took €150 from me anyway. I don’t trust this hotel at all. It felt like they stole from me.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and responsive. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. Many thanks to our host, Marika, and the team for their hospitality and for everything!

The location helps a little, but for the same price there are much better hotels in Tbilisi, and I wouldn’t recommend this one. The room was very loud, with noise from the karaoke bar and the receptionist talking loudly on the phone, even though we were on the third floor. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, with hair still in the shower. There’s no lift, so I had to carry all the bags to the top floor. Staff watched after laughing when they heard we were on the top floor, and nobody offered to help.
