Those thin mattresses were uncomfortable, and the blanket wasn't warm enough. I was cold at night, even in early autumn. Staff were a mixed bunch, with some more helpful than others, and I was disappointed they wouldn't let me check in early despite empty beds. It felt like they just couldn't be bothered. For what else you can get, I found it on the expensive side and not great value. The rooftop terrace, though, was the standout: wide views across Tbilisi and a nice place to meet other solo travellers in the evening. The location was excellent, in the heart of Old Tbilisi, within walking distance of major sights, cafés, and sulphur baths. Of the three hostels I stayed at in Tbilisi, Envoy was the best for its social feel and terrace, though you shouldn't expect luxury or much flexibility. A good central, sociable option if you're travelling alone.

Really friendly for people travelling solo, with clean, cheap rooms, welcoming staff, and a rooftop where it's easy to meet others. A great hostel in Tbilisi, and I'd strongly recommend it. The only drawback is the pretty steep hill up to it.

The spacious rooms were a plus, and the terrace was a lovely place to relax. Check-in and check-out were easy. On the downside, the whole floor shares just one shower and one toilet, and getting up from the city means tackling a very steep climb.

The rooftop bar is beautiful, and I wish I'd booked a longer stay. I was travelling alone but made friends easily in the friendly, communal atmosphere. The girl at reception was lovely, gave me a full tour of the building, and was very helpful. I stayed in mid June, and I think it was only her first or second day.

The rooftop terrace was easily the best part. The rooms are pretty standard, and the beds could use privacy curtains. I liked that the toilet and shower are separate, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Friendly staff, plus lots of cats nearby to pet. A good hostel.
