Hotel 21 Hotel

The hotel is on a hill, and the breakfast could have been a little better. Apart from that, our stay was perfect. Staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were super clean, and the views were incredible. It’s pet friendly too.

We visited in October 2025 to ask about a room, but the reception staff left us with a very unpleasant impression. The women there spoke down to us and rolled their eyes, answering as though they were doing us a favor. They used an overly familiar form of address with me, as if my husband and I were friends, which felt completely inappropriate in a hotel. After that exchange, we had no interest in staying. It surprised and disappointed us that guests are still treated that way. The administrator acted as if she owned the place, and that made the experience especially unpleasant.

The smooth check-in stood out, especially since I was with a large group. Hotel 21 is a reasonable budget choice if being in the city centre isn’t important to you. It’s near the Holy Trinity Church. I stayed four nights and moved between rooms on the ground, first, and second floors. They’re compact but modern and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water flow. It’s a new property and seems well put together. Breakfast filled me up each day. I’m not very picky, but I liked the oat porridge and especially the coffee. There’s a rooftop restaurant with a great view. The food was average, though the drinks were good.

Tours kept us out all day, but whenever we came back the room hadn’t been cleaned. They’d only left fresh bottled water. The AC also wasn’t working at first, and the technician was the one helpful person, fixing it and really trying to assist. The other staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. When I asked reception for an adapter because the outlets were round, they gave me a triangular one that didn’t fit and said it was all they had. At checkout, staff accused us of opening minibar items we hadn’t touched. We were made to pay, only for them to throw the items away or give them to whoever had opened them. We had a great holiday in Georgia apart from Hotel 21. This was a disappointing stay.
