British House Hotel

The helpful staff made the stay for me, with their positive attitude and great recommendations. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the central heating kept the room warm. It was clean and tidy when I checked in, and the halls and rest of the hotel were clean too. The wooden paneling and interior gave the place the authentic feel I’d hoped for, and the atmosphere was calm, with no noise and a quiet neighborhood to come back to after sightseeing. The rooms were cozy, and you can walk to nearly everything you might want to see or do in Tbilisi. It’s also near the metro and plenty of bus stops. Right in the heart of Tbilisi, the price felt fair for the medium range, maybe even low for what you get. A perfect 10 out of 10.

The courtyard has an almost enchanted garden feel, with a winding metal staircase that suits the period. Inside, it’s a restored nineteenth century townhouse, tastefully decorated with Belle Epoque paintings and some traditional Georgian crafts. The old fashioned, gentlemanly atmosphere might be why it’s called the British House. I remembered the hotel from an earlier visit, and it still felt like a home away from home. The man at reception was very friendly and helpful, and the whole place felt welcoming. I highly recommend it.

The area has such a cozy, authentic feel, and the prices are reasonable. Just outside the window there’s a little bakery making fresh khachapuri and lavash, with delicious fruit and vegetables for sale nearby. It’s a lovely little hotel almost in the center of Tbilisi, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is cooked just for you, more like a restaurant, and there’s always warm khachapuri or lobiani on the table. If you’d rather stay in for dinner, they can order khinkali from one of the best local restaurants and have it brought to your room. Highly recommend it for enjoying real Tbilisi life!

It has beautiful rooms, welcoming staff and owner, and a great spot right in the heart of Tbilisi. Everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay.
