Hotel Elia Palace

We had an amazing stay in the vintage style rooms, with staff who were super helpful. Our flight was delayed, but someone was there when we checked in at 5:00am. The next morning another staff member helped us out, and her cheerful smile made our day 😊

The hotel is only a few minutes from the city's main attractions and quite close to the tourist center. I stayed for a week and found it an excellent place, with friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms.

The staff were very helpful, and I enjoyed the tasty breakfast. It's also nice that you can arrange a tour or excursion right at the hotel. A lovely, cozy place near the historical centre, about a 15-minute walk from Rike park.

We booked through expedia.de as a family with three young children. After problems during arrival, we asked to postpone our booking, but the hotel said neither cancellation nor postponement was possible. When we finally arrived very late at night, reception told us there was no room left because it had been rented to someone else. They had sold the room twice and wouldn't confirm that it was unavailable. It seemed obvious to us that the hotel wanted to keep our payment under the strict cancellation terms without providing the service. We had to call the police. The director, a woman, was cheating and lying. Strongly recommend not booking there. Stay away. The managers are dishonest.
