I stayed in January 2026. The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms smelled unpleasant. The hotel is quite far from the main tourist areas, with no attractions within walking distance. We had told them in advance that we needed an early check-in, but still had to wait in the lobby from 12:30 to 14:30 for our room. One female receptionist was among the rudest I've encountered. It seemed like just one receptionist and one cleaner were running the whole hotel. Breakfast choices were very limited and the food wasn't fresh. You might find all the items shown on the dishes, but when something runs out, they don't refill it. I wouldn't recommend this for a family stay. The hospitality and service need a lot of improvement.

The location is amazing, and the breakfast is really good, especially if you want to try different cuisines. They serve traditional Georgian dishes, with mostly local ingredients. I have more reviews on my YouTube channel, "newtownproduction".

We were a family with one child and booked a single room with a double bed. Free Wi-Fi was available, and smoking wasn't allowed in the room. Only the receptionist spoke English. Bring a universal socket adapter to charge your electronics. The room was small, with no space for our child to play. It had a large window that let in plenty of light and air when open. The bathroom was small too, but there was enough room to stand and shower. The toilet flush worked differently from what we're used to. The toilet was clean, but still smelled bad after several flushes. The hotel is far from local attractions, about 2.5 km from old Tbilisi, and getting there involves climbing a 250 m hill with a lot of car traffic around it. That wasn't a good setup for a family with a child. I was 30% happy and 70% disappointed because of the location. For Indian families, breakfast choices were limited to fruit, cake, cold milk, cheese, butter, bread, boiled eggs, green tea and black tea. The hotel doesn't serve lunch or other food during the day. I had to order everything through the Wolt app, which offers free food delivery for the first 14 days and has lots of desi restaurants. That was the most practical option with a child. The nearest Indian or Pakistani halal vegetarian food was 2.5 km away on foot in old city Tbilisi. You may find some desi boys there inviting other desi customers. I spent about 110 lari a day on lunch and 100 lari on dinner, so allow roughly 40 to 60 lari per person for food. Be careful with the hotel's damage penalties. If you break something by accident, management decides the amount, and with kids the penalty could cost more than local shopping. Ask staff to remove glass items like cups and tables for child safety and to avoid a large charge. The windows have no child protection, and a child could fall out, so keep the window lock closed. The tour company and guide were good, but the hotel experience was disappointing. I'd look for a hotel closer to local attractions. I wouldn't recommend this one for families, though it may suit a single traveler or a group of boys. At one point it felt like a hostel converted into a hotel, like pro hostel. For a whole-family Gadauri tour, bring good-quality snow shoes, gloves, body warmers, jackets and thick, sturdy pants. In winter Gadauri can have very cold wind and temperatures as low as -8c. It's better to buy these where you live, since they may cost a little more in Georgia.

A comfortable hotel for the price, in Old Tbilisi. The staff accommodated our request for an early breakfast and let us leave our luggage while we waited for a late evening flight.

The rooms were very clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by the little extras. The women at reception were very nice, and breakfast was included and tasted great. There was a lot of street noise, so I didn't sleep well, but that isn't my main complaint. I gave one star for service because at checkout they stopped me to inspect the room and make sure I hadn't stolen anything. Seriously, is that how you treat guests, like criminals? You scanned my passport, yet you think I might steal your towels or something? I've never felt so humiliated anywhere in the world, even in Third World countries. I never expected this in beautiful Saqartvelo. Shame on you!
