The room was very clean and fully equipped, and the neighborhood was quiet while still close to lively areas. Great location if you have a few days to explore Tblisi.

The kitchen was so filthy I didn't want to go in, and the bathroom flooded because the shower leaked underneath. The mattresses were ancient and had a dip in the middle, and the furniture looked about 40 years old. The place felt unsafe electrically too: the A/C was the only thing that worked, but it was hooked up to some kind of plug and its cables got hot after a while. I really wouldn't recommend staying here.

Valentina runs the place and speaks no English. The arrangement is simple: you hand her the money and she hands you the key. It's quiet and very relaxed, right behind the Georgian Parliament and about as central as you can get. At first the building looks unpromising, but the room is actually large, with two beds, all the facilities, and lovely old wooden furniture left from Soviet times. Great value if you're on a budget. If you want a hotel, this isn't for you.

We stayed for two weeks, though I wouldn't recommend even one night. The accommodation felt unsanitary: the room was dusty and dirty, with a thick layer of dust under the bed and on the furniture, and the toilets seemed never to have been cleaned. The mattresses sagged and had springs coming out. The woman managing the place speaks only Russian, and we never saw her son. We didn't experience any Georgian hospitality; the only thing anyone asked us during the stay was, “When are you going to pay me?” Towels were changed regularly, which was the one positive thing I can mention.
