Hotel Onyx

Everything made for a wonderful first visit to Georgia, from the front desk and cleaning staff to the restaurant and the view. The hotel also has a pretty big casino, which was cool. Gambling isn't really my thing, but I enjoyed sitting there with some drinks. The restaurant on the 12th floor serves delicious food. There are two rooms there: one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and another with more of a party feel, where you can lounge on couches, smoke hookah, and have cocktails. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, and the rooms were clean and cozy. What really made the stay unforgettable was how warmly Nini, Salome, Tatia, and Keti looked after us. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, from greeting us at check-in to helping us throughout our stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth deserve a strong recommendation.

I really enjoyed my stay at Onyx City Center Hotel Tbilisi. The rooms were roomy, tidy, and well maintained, and the bathroom even had a bidet (shattaf). The whole hotel was very clean. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, always smiling. A big plus was the restaurant, which serves delicious halal food. Highly recommended if you're visiting Tbilisi! 🌸

The one good part of our stay was the daytime receptionist. I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, offering recommendations and helping us communicate. She deserves recognition and would be a real asset at a much better hotel. The rest was easily the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I strongly advise against staying at Onyx Hotel Tbilisi. My friend and I booked for a trip to Tbilisi, and trouble started at check-in. We were told to lock away our valuables because the cleaning staff allegedly tend to steal. Hearing that immediately made us uncomfortable and set a bad tone. The first two suites were unacceptable. Their damaged windows let wind in and made loud noises, so it was impossible to relax. We asked to move and were shown well over ten other rooms. Most smelled strongly of mold, so much that it was unpleasant to stand inside even briefly. We settled for two that were a little better, but the hotel's overall quality felt more like a very low-budget property than its advertised standard. Later, we asked reception to repair malfunctioning doors in our rooms. Hooman and Sepehr were on duty. We waited more than 30 minutes in a cold room with no update, then went downstairs to ask what was happening. One seemed to avoid talking to us, while the other kept showing us more rooms instead of fixing the problem. When we mentioned how many rooms smelled bad, he repeatedly said he noticed nothing unusual, even though many online reviews describe the same issue. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. There were more problems: the TV didn't work properly, soundproofing was almost nonexistent so we could constantly hear outside noise and neighboring guests, and many doors and windows seemed damaged or poorly maintained.
