Hotel Route

Breakfast was a mess: the omelet tasted of burnt oil, the sausages were charred, the “salad” was wilted leaves crushed up, and the rice porridge was a gluey paste. They served instant coffee. A woman in the kitchen shouted while looking at her phone, and the tables were dirty. The dining area looked cheap and roughly assembled, like plywood screwed together. The room didn’t offer much better. The bed linen was the only clean thing. The toilet and sink were dirty, there was hair on the floor, and the shower head had been awkwardly fixed to look okay, but came off the hose when I turned on the water. The staff member who greeted us was extremely unfriendly, almost rude, and one employee had dirty, uncombed hair. I’ve never seen a worse hotel. The hygiene and service were terrible, with no basic standards. I’d never recommend it.

The location was fine, about 20 minutes from the airport, and taxis can get there easily. But the room was noisy, with cars clearly audible through the poor insulation even at night. It was also dirty: lots of hair on the floor and in the towels, one towel smelled of chlorine, and the bathroom looked barely cleaned, with stains everywhere and an unpleasant smell from the toilet. At check-in the staff were very unfriendly. When I asked for an extra blanket because the one provided was so thin, they simply refused and didn’t even apologize. There are better hotels to recommend, and I’d skip this one for a stopover.

For an affordable stay with good service, this is a solid option and good value. Ms. Anna at reception was especially kind, professional, and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel is around 10-13 minutes from the city, so getting to the center may take transport if you want to be right there. I had a pleasant stay at Route Hotel and would be glad to come back.

It was an okay stay for the money. The place felt clean and the staff were nice. They even carried my bag, then found my passport when I forgot it and were very helpful. Breakfast was a little disappointing, though, and my boyfriend with allergies didn’t have many options.
