Zaira is one of the sweetest people, always greeting you with a smile and asking how your day went. Such a lovely couple. The hotel has a homely feel, though it could use some upgrades. They told us during our chat that a renovation is planned. It's right in the heart of Old Tbilisi, but tucked just inside the main lane, so it's quiet. The main street has everything, including a Spar and an ATM. Walk 200 metres and you're among the restaurants and pubs. Liberty (freedom) square is under a 10-minute walk, and Vakhtang Gorgasali Square is about four minutes away.

I booked a room for three nights, but when I checked in, they put me in a cheaper room and said I could stay only one night. They said this was because someone else, who hadn't booked the room, wanted to stay longer. When I told them it wasn't fair, they yelled at me.

The rooms could be better, but the service is awesome. It's a perfect base for visiting Tbilisi, close to Liberty Square with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The old Tbilisi courtyard atmosphere is lovely for relaxing outside.

We spent a week at Hotel Zaira, one of the best homestays we've experienced. The auntie and uncle who own it are so kind, welcoming, and friendly. While we were out on tours or walking around, auntie cleaned the room every day, changed the towels, emptied the bin, and left everything sparkling clean for us to come back and relax. Hotel Zaira is in Old Tbilisi, just steps from the Bridge of Peace, Narikala Fortress, Freedom Square, and Erkle Street with all its restaurants. Cafes, groceries, and money exchange are close by too, so the location is great for getting around. The price is very affordable for the comfort and service. We definitely recommend it and will come back.
