Kraveli Hotel

The room itself was spacious and warm, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. On arrival, the bathroom smelled really bad. The breakfast was cold, and some of the food didn’t seem fresh. Over our three nights, we got only two bags of coffee and tea, and the towels weren’t changed daily. On the last day I asked for cleaning. They made the beds and left fresh slippers, but didn’t clean the bathroom or bring shower gel or shampoo. One of the products was expired. The hairdryer also kept stopping while I was drying my hair in the morning. In the evenings, we often found nobody at reception. Our room was near the entrance, and at 6 a.m. new guests woke us by shouting and literally knocking on our window. With the hotel rated 8.7 on Booking, we expected much better service. This wasn’t the vacation stay we’d hoped for.

The breakfasts were incredibly tasty, and the city views were gorgeous. It’s a quiet place with a nice atmosphere, and the rooms are cozy and well equipped.

Getting there by taxi was fine, but the hotel is up a hill and the entrance isn’t on a flat stretch. Ask the driver or Yandex to take you right to the entrance so loading or unloading heavy suitcases is easier. The rooms were lovely and clean, with crisp white bedding, and I felt very safe there. I was traveling alone with my daughter, and the kind owner helped me with my heavy suitcase. Thanks again!

The breakfast choices were great, and the coffee from the machine was delicious, not instant. We also had a good shower, a TV, and plenty of other useful things. Our room was quite large, with enough space, a wonderful balcony and a lovely view. The hotel was clean and cozy, and gave us a real sense of Georgian hospitality. I enjoyed our stay at Kraveli Hotel, and the Wi-Fi worked well too.
