Liel Hotel

We felt like family while we were there, and we'll choose this place again next time we visit Tbilisi. I stayed in three different hotels in the city, and this was the best one for us. Traveling with a baby can be hard, but we had what we needed: clean rooms and floors, a baby crib, and such kind hospitality. The COVID restrictions meant there was no breakfast, but we could use the kitchen to make our own meals.

The rooms were brand new, very clean, and had everything we needed. Ekaterina, the owner, was so generous, kind, and welcoming that we felt at home. She also has an adorable dog, and our kids were excited to play with him in the hotel's backyard. I highly recommend this place.

I've stayed here twice, once on my own and once with family, for more than eight nights in total. In twenty years of travel across four continents, I haven't had a stay like this. The hospitality, care, tidiness, cozy feel, room equipment, and local and continental food were all so good I'd give it ten stars if I could. I always feel at home here, treated with respect and genuine warmth and smiles. Hotel Liel has become a second home for me, with everything I need. It's at the entrance to New Tbilisi, in Didi Dighomi District in North Tbilisi, a modern area with lots of parking, three pharmacies about two minutes away, three stylish 24/7 mini markets, and a Goodwill megastore four minutes away. There are good restaurants, a cool gym next door, and more nearby. The neighborhood is friendly, with little traffic, and close to everything. By car, it's five minutes to the Kazbegi road and Tbilisi Mall, and twelve minutes to Old Tbilisi. Thanks to the hotel staff, and especially the owner and director, Mrs. Ekaterine, who takes care of you from the booking contact right through to getting you to the airport for your trip home.

Everything was great at Liel hotel: the rooms were really clean, the staff were so friendly, and breakfast was delicious. We met Catherine, the owner, and she even walked with us to the bus station on our first day so we could catch the bus into town. Thanks so much to the Liel team. We'll definitely stay here whenever we visit Tbilisi.
