The rooms were clean, breakfast was OK, and the location is central. I can imagine this becoming a nice little place once they sort out a few things. We’d booked a twin room, but at 2am the staff member showed us a double. We were work colleagues and didn’t want to share a bed. We were exhausted and only needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours, so we paid for another room. No one else was staying there, and the next room he showed us was a twin. It was odd that he hadn’t offered it first. Then he said we both had to stay in that room and tried to take the other key. We’d paid for two rooms and insisted on keeping both. I wasn’t going to spend our few hours arguing at that time of night. The host who had taken the booking helped sort out the confusion while on the phone, and we ended up with both rooms. The staff member’s behavior was strange.

Gary, the young owner, and the staff were so kind and friendly. I came with my family from the UK and felt at home here rather than in a hotel. We had a great stay and made lovely memories. Thanks so much for all you did for us. I’d definitely return if I travel to Tbilisi.

Gary, thank you for a wonderful experience. I came from the UK to Georgia for the first time to see my family from Iran after five years, for my brother’s wedding. We never imagined we could have such a lovely small wedding in Georgia without your help. You helped us so much with organizing the wedding cake and arranging the after party, and more. Vere Side hotel is cozy and very clean, with great service. The manager is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home. I definitely recommend staying here, Gary, we’ll come back again and again.
