We were able to bring our dog and weren’t charged extra, which was great. The staff were helpful and really friendly, and the rooms felt new and were clean. There’s also a shared kitchen downstairs. A really good hotel for the price, we’ll be back.

This small, family-run place is my usual choice in Tbilisi. The guest rooms are on the first floor (British) or second floor American, and the quiet street makes it easy to get around the city on foot. Guests can use the communal kitchen and dining room, with several tables, as well as a shared washing machine. A couple of things to know: there are two poodles around, so keep that in mind if you have a dog allergy. Also, the winding stairs are slippery and there’s no elevator. I fell twice; the second time I bruised my elbow, and it still aches a little. There’s no bannister, though there are railings in some spots to steady yourself.

The host was warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself was peaceful. I stayed at Vere Corner Hotel in July 2022. Its location works well for visiting the city center, and the university is nearby.
