Maria's homestay

For 35e a night, which isn't exactly cheap for Georgia, I expected at least to get some rest. We paid for the one night we stayed, canceled the rest, packed, and left as fast as possible. The mattress felt like a torture device, with metal springs poking everywhere. I also don't know what the people calling this place clean mean: it was far from clean. In the video screenshots I took, the areas around the door handles and light switches look yellow. Sorry the photos aren't good quality. Sleep was nearly impossible. The walls seemed like cardboard, and right next door there was a room for four people and a shared kitchen, but one guy was sleeping in that area too. Every sound from him came through as if he were in our room. The wooden floor creaked whenever anyone moved, people used the kitchen until midnight, and the metal bunk beds squeaked at every movement. Even after everyone finished and we finally got into bed, a light sleeper still couldn't count on sleeping. In the morning, we woke up to a guy eating the breakfast laid out in the kitchen for everyone with his bare hands. As someone else said, I'm sure there is some kind of manipulation behind a rating that's almost 5.

A really kind, respectful manager, and I think the price is among the best you'll find.

Levan, the owner, is incredible and charismatic, a bit silly and dramatic in the best way. I love how small and cozy the place is, with just two rooms, one private and one dorm with two bunk beds. The rooms and bathroom are always clean, and it's a wonderful place. It's only a five-minute walk to Liberty Square, but tucked away from the noise. I've booked it twice, which says a lot. Just know it's not a party place. Highly recommend!

The host gives you a warm welcome and takes time to explain the important hostel details. They ask what you like, including favorite foods and wines, then suggest places to visit or events in Tbilisi that suit you. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was clean and well designed, with a separate faucet for the toilet. Being close to Freedom Square is really convenient, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, historical sights, and other options nearby.
