Monograph Freedom Square

The rooms and the staff's attitude made for a horrible stay, and I'd never recommend this hotel. We booked three rooms: a suite, a large room, and a superior room. Since two people in our group had birthdays, I asked if the hotel could do anything. They said they'd check our passports first to make sure I wasn't lying about the dates. After checking, they said they couldn't do anything because we wouldn't be staying on the actual birthdays. They made no effort to make the stay memorable, even though I offered to pay for their 10 lari pastry that they planned to leave as a complimentary item. I was immediately told to complain if I was unhappy. We put our used clothes in one of the laundry bags, and staff made a big issue of it. When I asked why the bags were there if guests weren't meant to use them, the receptionist rolled her eyes and gestured with her hands. The staff came across as racist and as though letting us stay was a favor. There was no hospitality or humanity in the people working there. I'm happy to write this review 100 times until action is taken against the receptionist, especially the one named Cathy. Horrible customer service and a horrible attitude.

The views, design, and atmosphere are what make Hotel Monograph stand out for me. The interior feels considered and stylish, with modern comfort and character, and the location is central and atmospheric, a great place to get a feel for Tbilisi. It works for a leisure trip or when you're looking for inspiration. I've stayed here and it's easily my favorite hotel in Tbilisi. The staff have been genuinely friendly, professional, and helpful, with warm, attentive service that made me feel welcome. I've seen complaints about small things like carpet stains. In a busy hotel with guests coming and going, that can happen. What counts is cleanliness and care, and Hotel Monograph does well on those. Rooms are cleaned regularly, linens are changed almost daily, and it feels cleaner and better maintained than most people's homes. Complaining about little details seems misplaced given the comfort and organization. I also strongly disagree with claims that the staff are rude. The way we experience people can reflect the attitude we bring, and when you treat people with respect and a clean heart, you usually get the same back. My interactions were pleasant and professional. Hotel Monograph has character, soul, and quality. It's an experience, and with its design, views, central location, and sincere hospitality, it's a place I'd gladly return to.

The rooftop is a highlight, and the whole place has such a good atmosphere. It's right on Rustaveli Avenue in the heart of the city. The sofas are so comfortable you'll want to stay put, and the cheesecake is easily one of the best I've ever had. A perfect spot!

We spent the evening at the rooftop bar and had a really nice time. The drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly.
