Red Fox Guesthouse

For about €30 a night, the price was okay for a private room with two twin beds, but there are better choices in the city. The room could have been cleaner, and noise from staff and other guests carried right into our room at times. The owner replied quickly and was helpful, even though we never met her. I felt you get what you pay for, but our next Tbilisi accommodation cost the same and was a much better experience.

The private room was just okay. The bathroom was clean, and the staff were very attentive when we needed something, like an extra towel. But the pillows had no covers, so I had to find some myself, and the sheets weren’t fitted to the mattresses. There was no AC, and the room got quite hot at night. We could open the small windows, but outside noise woke us several times every night and early morning. The wifi was weak and kept disconnecting. The place is near Old Town but up a steep hill. After two nights we moved elsewhere for the same price and had a much better stay.

A nice little room, generally clean, and free tea. The main problem was how thin the walls were: you could hear absolutely everything from other rooms, the hall, and the entrance. The wifi was weak in my room, number 10, and kept disappearing.

The guesthouse is cozy, clean, and in good condition, with a very friendly, helpful host. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade tinned apricots and cherries, delicious! It’s also close to the city’s historic center and some good restaurants.
