Rooms Hotel Tbilisi is the kind of place I keep coming back to. Reception sets the tone, and they get it right every time, whether I arrive at 6:00 a.m. before a run or late on a busy weekend. The welcome is always calm, professional, and full of positive energy. The reception team made everything feel easy, warm, and personal: Ana Pruidze, Tinatin, Anano, Liza, Shota, Ana Khalvashi, and Anuki. The rooms are always spotless, room service is dependable, and the standard is high. Still, what stays with me most is how it feels both refined and familiar, like an authentic Georgian home with real character. The kitchen is where the magic happens, especially at breakfast. I’ve rarely seen such care, even at premium hotels abroad. Thanks to chefs Giorgi, Tamta, and Rezi. Every dish feels made with attention and heart, especially the omelettes and those magical pancakes. I’m not much of a morning person, but breakfast never feels forced. It’s calm and tasteful, and the staff are attentive while giving you the space you need. Rooms is a flagship Georgian brand for a reason. It leaves a mark, and I highly recommend it.

The lights that are there can be harsh, and the place is dark. On the plus side, the service is nice, and the building used to be a publishing company, so there are lots of books on the shelves. The other spaces, like Stamba Hotel and restaurant, are good too. I like the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and the bar has friendly staff. It starts getting busy on Wednesday. The coffee is pretty good as well.

The bar downstairs has a lovely terrace and gets pretty busy. Breakfast was good, with plenty of usual options and a chef who made my omelette to order, though I’m not sure what else you could request. The hostess was very attentive and kept checking that everyone had what they needed. The building has a lovely design and atmosphere, and my room was spacious and spotless. They refreshed the amenities every day, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The meeting rooms on floor -1 are nice too, though I noticed some mold in the first room on the left after the elevators. One warning about street-facing rooms: parking outside is illegal, and police cars come by every 30-45 minutes, loudly calling out to parked drivers through megaphones at all hours.

The breakfast itself was good, especially the omelette, which seems to be the signature dish, but it was expensive for Tbilisi. Service was painfully slow and unfriendly. I had to ask several times for coffee, and it could take 20 minutes to arrive. Room service was awful and the food poorly cooked. The Wi-Fi basically doesn’t exist, so don’t count on using it. The lounge also felt uncomfortable to me, with random people around despite there being a security guard. The rooms are dark and dated, with irritating lighting, and badly need redecorating. I first stayed at Rooms in 2018 and liked it, but my November 2025 visit was a letdown. Be careful to check the invoice when you leave, since the hotel takes a deposit of about half the stay price. The location is okay, but there’s no nice view from the window. It’s near noisy Rustaveli avenue and quite a way from Old Tbilisi.

Rooms are a little pricey, but I really liked the building and room design. I’m into design, and the lobby bar and mcintosh sound system were a real pleasure. It’s also right in the center.
