We had a terrible room. Its window was level with the street, so passersby could look straight inside. I really wonder if the people leaving positive reviews have ever stayed in a hotel. Those supposed positives are just basic standards every hotel should meet. There was no privacy at all. The showers were broken, the toilets hadn't been cleaned properly, and the staff couldn't speak English when we checked in, so we couldn't communicate with them. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Getting out was a whole ordeal too. Our room was in a separate building, with nowhere to leave the key card at checkout. We were changing countries and in a serious rush, and the lack of any staff cost us a lot of time. The street is extremely steep and uncomfortable, and I didn't feel safe. I also got no response at all when I tried to contact the hotel.

Though it's in central Tbilisi, the hotel sits at the end of a street, so you have to walk uphill each time. The renovated rooms were clean, but too cramped and inconvenient. There was no hot water during my entire stay, and there's no elevator. One of the managers was quite rude. She tried to take my room key because she somehow thought I was checking out, and didn't apologize.

We had a pleasant stay. The room was nice, though we would've liked a bigger window. Reception was welcoming, and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is handy, close to everything you might need. Just keep in mind that reaching the third floor means climbing stairs, which could be an issue if you have limited mobility.

At Salve, we could enjoy the evening sun from the balcony, and the facilities were good: a kettle, hairdryer, refrigerator, and robes. Bring your own tea bags or coffee sachets. It's easy to get to the funicular and old town after the hiiiiilll walk up. The doorbell ringing sometimes made nights a little noisy. We stayed, went to the country, then came back; in our second room, the floor was wet, which was a bit tricky.
