Mercure Tbilisi Old Town

The staff were what made our stay so memorable. Dachi, Levan, and Valentina went out of their way to help connect our phone to the screen so we could watch our national team’s football match. It became an unforgettable night for all of us. Mercure Tbilisi Old Town is ideally placed for exploring on foot. The Old Town is just steps away, and the cable car, Narikala Fortress, and other attractions are within walking distance. Freedom Square is about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well insulated, so it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was well organized and had all the basics, plus a delicious cheese roll that was absolutely amazing ❤️. I highly recommend staying here and would gladly come back.

There’s a Sky Lounge on the sixth floor with great cocktails. Special thanks to the lady manager, who was so kind and gave us the best service. We were warmly welcomed, the room was decent, and breakfast had good options. I’d recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

The breakfast was the best part, with loads of food and drinks: cherry and orange juice, sparkling mineral water, a coffee machine, and more. You can also ask for eggs made to order, like an omelette with different toppings, or coffee with soy milk, since the machine only has regular milk. Just note that the wine bottles in the pictures are decorative or for sale, not complimentary. The hotel is right by the old city center, and the bus stops a minute away go in both directions and can get you close to nearly anywhere in Tbilisi. The room was modern but decorated in a classic style, with modern facilities and a TV that lets you connect your YouTube account. The minibar drinks were free and replenished daily. There’s a sauna and gym on the ground floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had an early tour one day and they let me into the dining room before opening so I could pack whatever I wanted from breakfast. On my last day, my flight wasn’t until midnight, and receptionist Karina kindly let me use the hotel facilities after checkout because of the late departure. When the flight was delayed by over three hours, her colleague even treated me to a coffee. I’m so grateful for their kindness. It wasn’t perfect, but it was really good, and exceeded what I expected. Highly recommended.

Karina gave us a really warm welcome and was happy to help with our requests. She also had good suggestions for things to see and do in Tbilisi. The rooms and facilities are modern, tidy, and clean, and the views of the Kura river across the road are fantastic. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
