I'm still shocked by what happened. I contacted the owner, Aleksandre, before trying to reserve on Airbnb for a month, since I wanted to be respectful and ask first. He never replied, even though I could see he'd read my message. Then I noticed the room's availability had been blocked so I couldn't book it. I couldn't see any reason for that, and it felt deliberately disrespectful. Aleksandre has more than 20 rooms across 3 different hotels, so he could have offered another room, but he also prevented me from booking any of his rooms. I don't know what I did to deserve that kind of treatment. I usually get along well with Airbnb owners and have positive reviews. I'm a digital nomad, and in all my travels through Latin America, Europe, and Asia, I'd never experienced such disrespectful, immature behavior from an owner. Please contact your booking platform if the same thing has happened to you. I suspect Aleksandre may have been doing this for a while; if enough people report him, Airbnb and Booking might take action. Airbnb told me on the phone that they take this situation very seriously. After the experience, I decided to cancel my trip to Tbillissi.

For a longer stay, or if you're travelling by car, this is one of the best places to stay in Tbilisi. It might seem far from the city center, but you're close to the metro.
