I booked at the last minute and felt so comfortable that I stayed another night. Georgi, the proprietor, was kind and welcoming, and made dinner and breakfast. We also had a nice chat. It’s a great base for exploring Kakheti’s wineries. He doesn’t speak English, though he speaks Portuguese and, of course, Russian.

We arrived in Telavi a day earlier than planned with nowhere to stay. By chance, we found this place, and they welcomed us even though we got there at 11:00. Very nice.

The rooms were very clean and quite elegant. Upstairs there’s also a great bathroom and a practical kitchen. Giorgi is an admirable man and a real example of Georgian hospitality. My only regret is that we stayed just one night. I can’t give it less than 5 stars.
