Roots Hotel Apartment

The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed, and the hotel was very clean. We also liked the location, just minutes from the bustle of Oxford St., where you can find whatever you’re after. The people were so friendly. We arrived needing breakfast, and the buffet was just right at $15 per person. You can sit indoors or outside on the rooftop. There’s a coffee shop in the lobby, live performances there on certain days, and an airport shuttle if you request one. Service was impeccable, so Roots Hotel made for a great overnight stay. My only gripe was that the shower water wasn’t as hot as I’d have liked. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The rooms are large and nice, and the property is very pleasant and fairly central. It’s a little pricey for the area. We had a water problem, but the staff responded attentively and fixed it quickly.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with a kitchen and microwave, and the food was good. The staff were very helpful and professional. What really stood out was what happened after a long, exhausting day on Oct 7th, around 7pm, at the upstairs restaurant. I left my backpack there with about $700 American dollars and my credit card. The restaurant staff quickly returned it, and nothing was missing. Thanks to them for being so honest, it’s rare to come across people like that. I highly recommend Roots hotel and hope to come back one day, God willing.

I’d come back for the great service, tasty jollof, and views of Accra. I had dinner upstairs and drinks on the rooftop, where Emmanuel in the restaurant and Felix in the roof area were both friendly and very professional.
