Lancaster Hotel Kumasi

Lancaster is the former Golden Tulip, so if you know Golden Tulip in Kumasi, you know Lancaster. It's closer to Adum and Sofo line and Ridge. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and has a swimming pool. If your booking includes breakfast, there's a buffet each morning. The restrooms are well kept, and the bathrooms have both hot and cold water. My room stayed at a great temperature, with a cosy bed and duvet. There were no mosquitoes, and a woolen carpet ran from the corridor into the room. The lighting helped take the weight off a hard day at night.

It's on Rain Tree Road in the Nhyiaeso area, near Rattray Park and around 30 minutes from Kumasi Airport. The hotel has clean, spacious, quiet rooms, a peaceful setting, and food service. I'd call it the best hotel in the region. There's a swimming pool, spa and fitness center, tennis and padel courts, a restaurant and lounge bar, free Wi-Fi and parking, airport shuttles, and conference and wedding facilities.

The breakfast buffet has plenty of options, and the service was good. I stayed three nights on my second visit to Lancaster hotel Kumasi, and we also held an event in one of the halls. The rooms aren't so great. The one I got on my first visit was much better than the room I was given this time. Still, I had a good stay.

We really enjoyed the live band. My friends and I went for the dinner buffet at 8pm, and the food was good, but some dishes were already gone when we arrived. We weren't happy to hear they wouldn't refill anything, especially since the buffet was open until 10pm. That's the first time I've heard that about a buffet.
