The location is central, and the room and service were top-notch. The top-floor rooms with ocean views are amazing. Waking up to the Arctic Ocean and icebergs on the horizon is something you don’t get to see every day. It’s pricey, but I highly recommend staying here. I think it’s a much better choice than Hotel Arctic, which may have a good view but is far, far from the city center. We had an amazing four-night stay in Ilulissat.

The desk staff were amazing. They kept in touch, knew our schedule, and even brought ice from the kitchen to help with an ankle sprain. Breakfast was amazing every morning, with fresh rolls, cheese, cold cuts, jams, bacon, pastries, and more, plus French press coffee. A harbor-view room is the way to go for whales, ships, kayaks, and sunrises and sunsets. The town is a five-minute walk away. We’d definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, and nice, and the staff are very accommodating. Nowhere in Ilulissat is far, but this place is especially close to the center.

Ask for a bay-view room to get the great views over Disko Bay. The rooms have been recently renovated, and breakfast had a great spread, even for someone choosy like me. The restaurant also has tasty two- and three-course dinners for 425 and 495 Kr.

The room with a view was money well spent, and we really liked this hotel. Rooms have been newly renovated, and there’s a great restaurant in the same building.
