Hotel Soma Ilulissat

The views were great, and breakfast was simple but tasty. My wife and I stayed in June 2024 and loved it. Just be aware that the west-facing windows can make the room HOT, so block them before bed and use the mosquito net. The sled dogs were talking to each other, which was cute, but something to keep in mind. It's not near dowtown, though the walk is easy. There's also a CHEAP paid bus or TAXI. When my wife was injured, taking a taxi around was cheap and easy.

After 11 days hiking the Arctic Circle Trail, I booked the ACT recovery package and it was just right for a little pampering. Laundry was included and done promptly for early the next day, so I could head out, and the Spa & sauna were a lovely way to relax. It's a shame the hotel restaurant wasn't open yet, so I had to go to the competition for dinner. Building work is still underway, which is great to see. The woman who took care of me at check-in on the 20th was brilliant and very caring. Thank you so much for everything!

I loved the harbor view from the window and balcony, and everything we needed was within walking distance. The staff were EXTREAMLY friendly, helpful, and respectful. Be sure to try their bread at breakfast, the clean breakfast area is cozy. There's a kitchenette with what you need to cook, and picky eaters can find a restaurant at Arctic hotel 100 meters away. A free shuttle runs to and from the airport, and the city bus comes every 30 minutes for anyone feeling lazy.

The welcome was great, and breakfast was amazing, with freshly baked bread and pastries. It's a very nice hotel outside ilulissat, around a 20-minute walk from the center, and they provide a free shuttle to and from the airport. Some rooms have nice views, while others face the road. All together, a very good place to stay.
