Dioscouroi Aparthotel

Our room was tiny and didn’t appear on any booking site, including the hotel’s own website. The air conditioning barely worked, so the room felt stuffy and sometimes even hotter than outside. The bathroom water was almost always cold, only turning lukewarm in the evenings. Showering also made foam leak through the floor drain, which sometimes gave off an unpleasant smell. We could clearly hear corridor noise, and there were ants around. Breakfast was the same limited selection every day, repetitive and dull. The pool looked greenish, and its floor was uncomfortable to walk on. The one positive was the price, which was the main reason we booked. I wouldn’t make the same mistake again. I’m just glad our stay is finally over.

The hotel was okay, and the view was beautiful, but our room had some unpleasant smells, especially in the small bathroom. The breakfast room was small and often crowded, and the pool looked dirty and greenish. We had no running water for half a day. I wouldn’t complain about that on its own, since these things can happen, but we weren’t kept well informed in a friendly way.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, and the hotel has been beautifully renovated and kept very clean. We stayed for a week in a triple room as a small family, my mother, brother, and I. The nearby taverna Yamas is well worth a visit for its excellent food, friendly service, and great atmosphere. The pool has an amazing sea view and a great setting, but it’s quite small, and there’s no shower nearby for before or after swimming. The beach is so close, though, that we could easily swim there instead. The hotel has lots of potential, with a few things that could be improved. Our third bed was in the living room in front of the TV, and it was quite hard and uncomfortable. A sofa bed would make the space more practical, especially for a longer stay. The bathroom also has no sink inside it. The washbasin is in the main living area, which is spacious and nicely designed, with a large mirror, but that arrangement may not suit everyone. The beach is a charming little spot with crystal-clear water, just a 3-minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the renovation and hospitality. With a few thoughtful adjustments, it could be somewhere we’d return to year after year.

We spent two weeks here with half-board and found the price fair for what you get. The superior/deluxe room was airy and very spacious, with a nice balcony, and the staff were ready to help whenever we needed support. Breakfast was a buffet. For dinner, we chose our meal a day ahead, and the food was very tasty, with some Greek options. You can also eat at Yamas Restaurant, which has a range of delicious dishes. The hotel looks out over the sea and has easy access to a nearby beach. We had a very pleasant stay.
