Sirena Apartments

The hosts were lovely and helped with whatever we needed. The place was clean and close to the beach, just a minute's walk away, and to restaurants. The pool isn't huge, but the kids had a beautiful time. We recommend it very much.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. We booked a studio so we could make breakfast in the little kitchen, then found the fridge switches off when you leave the apartment. What's the point of that? There were no sponges or dish soap, and no shampoo or body wash in the bathroom. Air conditioning cost 7 euros a day and the safe was 2 euros a day. Every wall in the room had mosquito blood smudges. During our week, cleaners came just once and left the balcony door and screen open. We weren't very happy with the experience overall. Agia Pelagia itself is a cute area with lots of restaurants and bars. Get to the beach early if you want a bed and parasol. There's a bus to other cities, and plenty of car and quad rentals nearby. If you're staying a week or longer, you may want to explore other areas too, since Agia Pelagia is on the small side.

We felt great at Sirena Apartments and would definitely stay again if we return to Crete. The rooms were clean, cleaned daily, and had air conditioning; towels were changed regularly. The staff were all really nice, and the hosts were lovely. The location is excellent in a small town where shops, a pharmacy, car rental, and a taxi stop are all on hand. Cross a bar and you're right on the beach, with clean water and plenty of restaurants and bars.

I had a really good, long stay at Sirena. The owners are the sweetest and most helpful people, and they'll make sure you have a wonderful time. Greetings, Cornelis.
