The Dreamhouse by the Lake

We rented the flat for a month during the winter of 2025. The rooms are spacious and the location is wonderful, but the place felt scruffy and neglected, with so many issues I could spend a while listing them. The frying pans and chopping board were a health risk, so we had to buy replacements. The hover, hairdryer and iron didn’t work, the hob was faulty, and the kitchen sink barely had any water flow. It was clean, but clearly uncared for, and the cutlery was cheap and nasty. This is the last time we’ll rent from a private landlord. There seems to be a pattern of taking as much as possible and doing as little as possible in return. It’s insulting and rude. We don’t live like this at home, so why should we pay to stay in a scruffy, unkempt hovel?
