There’s a lot of potential here, but the rooms need a serious upgrade. The balcony jacuzzi overflowed and flooded the floor, and its chemicals turned my silverware black. The bathroom is cramped, with the shower draining beside the toilet. The old doors and windows barely work, and sound carries so badly that I could hear everyone, which made sleeping awful. You’ll need a car too. They only serve breakfast, and food options are 15-25 minutes away. This definitely didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel.

The place looked desolate when we arrived by car, and the site photos made it look much better than it was. In our room, a strong chemical smell drove us out. Staff told us to open the windows, but after leaving for an hour, we came back to the same smell. Despite what the hotel said in response to my refund request, they did not offer another room. They said all the rooms smelled the same. We had to leave, and the hotel wouldn’t refund us for accommodations that weren’t acceptable. I wouldn’t stay here even for free, and wouldn’t recommend it.

I felt uncomfortable throughout my stay at Symmetry Suites in Santorini, and came away feeling misled. The room had tiny insects, and I developed a skin infection during the stay. The towels were stiff and felt unwashed. The online listing said breakfast, lunch, and dinner were available, but when I arrived I was told no food was provided at all. There wasn’t even an extra bottle of water in the room. They also charged €2 per day as a “city tax” that hadn’t been clearly mentioned upfront. I wouldn’t recommend it.

What a view! The room felt luxurious, the bed was comfortable, and it was really quiet. I also loved the jacuzzi. Breakfast was perfect for the hot days, with fruit, eggs, and Greek salad. The receptionist and the guy at breakfast were both really kind. We definitely recommend this hotel.
