Sunset Hotel Corfu

The rooms are comfortable, but there isn’t much around. Getting into town costs €15 by taxi or €2.50 by bus, though buses only come every half hour. The pool is empty out of season. Still, it’s nice enough.

We paid 130 euros a night for two triple rooms at Sunset Hotel Corfu. It’s a medium-sized hotel, around a 30-minute walk from Corfu centre and the Old Town. The official category is unclear, but we’d give it 3 stars. The rooms were average and clean. There’s a large lobby, a pleasant garden for relaxing, and a nice outdoor pool with a pool bar. Breakfast was good, with probably something for everyone, and the service was okay. It’s a very nice island stay for anyone who enjoys lounging by the pool. The breakfast was good, and our room attendant’s care was what stayed with us most. She kept the room and bed spotless every day. On our last night, we came back to find a beautiful, creative design on the bed made from my swimming cover-up. It completely melted our hearts! 💖 We never got to meet her in person, but we hope this message reaches her. Thank you so much, Room 411. The hotel is quite budget-friendly, with a few trade-offs: an older, smaller bed and dated utilities.

The breakfast included with the stay was fantastic, and the pool was a great size. Service was fantastic too. The place had everything we needed, and there’s a bus stop right outside the entrance. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable, rock-hard beds I’ve ever slept in. The food on the menu also seemed a bit questionable and cheap. Apart from those things, it was nice.
