Roxani Hotel

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the family who run the place were so warm and helpful. When our airport transfer was delayed, they jumped in to help right away. They were always happy to stop for a chat, too. Every evening we had a delicious Greek home-cooked meal made by the owner. I’d choose this hotel first if I came back.

The staff were caring and quick to help, and the hotel has a lovely, well-kept feel. We came back very late from a trip one day and had missed dinner, so they kindly left a meal in our room for us. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the meat the owner cooked in the oven. Our room was clean, the appliances worked as described on the official website and in the photos, and we had no trouble with hot water or air conditioning. The balcony was handy for drying clothes. It’s a cozy, family-friendly place in an excellent location. Thanks to the owner and staff for making it feel so welcoming.

We felt very comfortable here, and for the price and the simple, friendly atmosphere, I’d recommend this place to people who aren’t too demanding. The rooms were extremely clean and the pool was very good. Some things could be improved: the room doors let through a lot of noise, and the bathrooms are quite small, though they do the job. The hotel itself is fairly rated at three stars, even if our overall stay deserves five in my view. It’s a family-run business, and the family are involved in managing it. The owner makes local dishes each evening and serves generous portions. You can tell he’s pleased when guests enjoy them. I’m sorry I missed the moussaka. The restaurant staff were kind and explained what the owner was cooking, along with other things. The owner’s son and his wife were also lovely and willing to help. On our last night, we asked him to make two sandwiches for our little girl to eat on the road, and he did so without hesitation.

We ended up here for one night because the nearby hotel was overbooked. The room was moldy, and we barely slept. Thankfully it was only for the night. If we’d had to stay longer, we definitely would have changed hotels.
