Ble Island

We stayed as a family, two adults and a child, and loved the apartment. It was clean and had everything we needed and more. We've stayed in lots of places around Crete, and this one is definitely our favorite. We're already planning to book another week here soon.

Kristina was such a lovely, friendly host and looked after us like family. We'll miss her and are already looking forward to coming back. The accommodation was excellent, cozy, and comfortable, with a very nice atmosphere. It's close to the beach, traditional taverns serving plenty of delicious food, and souvenir shops. There's also an aquarium worth visiting nearby, as well as a water park. It made for a fantastic holiday.

The location is very good, but there's no sea view, and the beach is about a ten-minute walk down the road. The rooms are okay, though the bathroom is tiny and not even suitable for one person. You can't shower without getting water everywhere.

The owner was very nice and even gave us a bottle of wine. These are basic apartments with a separate bedroom, and the air conditioning is only in that room. The sunset view is good, and the pool is better than it appears in the property's photos. This is convenient for a night or two because it's close to the airport. For longer stays, the surrounding area feels like a dated tourist spot and may be noisy at night. Nearby adult-only resorts seem to need loud live music from terrible folklore performers to get guests in a mating mood. The beach could be nice, but it's full of those same adults. The water is warm, with sand at the shore and stones in the water, and jet-skis and other noisy machines pollute it.
