I booked two rooms advertised as having a full front sea view for a three-night stay at the Saradari Beach Hotel, listed as a four-star, adults-only property. From the start, it was a travel nightmare. This does not feel like a four-star hotel, and the staff’s conduct was shocking and unprofessional. The owner said we were being upgraded because we were non-smokers. In practice, it was a serious downgrade. The promised full sea view was only partial, visible from one corner of the balcony. The rooms were missing advertised essentials: no TV, no working Wi-Fi signal, no closet or hangers, no hot water, and no towel racks or hangers in the bathroom. There was hair and dust in both rooms and bathrooms. Less than ten minutes after checking in, I went to reception with a smile to ask politely about the missing facilities and incorrect sea view. Before I could finish, the older woman at the desk started yelling aggressively. She said I should be grateful for the upgrade and, shockingly, grateful to have a room at all because they were fully booked. When I said she was being rude, she loudly told me to pack my bags and leave at once. I asked for a full refund, and she yelled that they wouldn’t refund anything and that I should get my money back from Booking.com. I was stunned by the hostility and aggression. Because it was late, we had to spend one terrible night there. We checked out the next morning and booked and paid for another hotel for the remaining two nights. Through Booking.com, the hotel then refused to refund those two nights, saying we’d been offered good rooms. They kept our prepaid money. The rooms were substandard and not functional, and the amenities didn’t match the description or photos. The front desk behaviour made it even worse. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Don’t book unless you’re prepared for stress, lost money, and being yelled at for politely asking for the amenities you paid for. The Saradari Beach Hotel - Adults Only should lose its four-star designation.

We paid in advance for a sea-view room with advertised four-star amenities, including a TV, Wi-Fi, and a closet, but what we got was called an “upgrade” and was anything but. The view was only partial, there was visible hair in both the room and bathroom, and there was no TV, working Wi-Fi, closet, or hangers. We had to keep our things in our luggage. When we raised these basic problems, the receptionist was incredibly rude and told us to leave if we didn’t like it. They refused to refund the prepaid booking, so we had to pay for another hotel to get away. The place is misleading and unsanitary, and the staff were openly hostile. Don’t waste your money here. This was without a doubt the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

We loved the beautiful grounds around this hotel, with all the flowers and trees, and the large pool was spotless. George at reception was a standout, friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The service overall was excellent. Breakfast was fairly basic and didn’t have much variety, but it didn’t affect our stay. We still had a lovely time at this hotel in Greece and would definitely recommend it.

It was very peaceful here, and the hotel had a lovely view, good breakfast, and a really nice pool. The rooms were comfortable, too. George and his mother looked after us so well and made us feel at home. The hotel is amazing, I fully recommend it, five out of five.

The breakfasts were genuinely good, which was lucky because you’ll need energy for the dusty, 300-metre walk to the beach and back along a road that feels like a construction site. You’ll arrive covered in grit. There are photos for anyone who likes horror. The rest of the stay felt like being an unwanted guest after paying for a holiday. When I arrived, I asked George, the owner, for a towel, a glass, and a kettle. He said I was “too much trouble for the first day.” Later he said I was lucky to have booked two months ahead. I can only imagine what happens to people who book three months ahead. Need a clothes dryer? George’s answer was, “I have four hotels, you have none.” The room upgrade is a fairy tale, since all the economy rooms are copies of each other. The only thing that changes is whether you believe him. There are exactly two cleaners for the whole hotel. If you get back before 5 p.m., the room will be untouched. By 6 p.m., they might change towels and hand out shampoo as if it’s 1943. On Sundays there’s no service at all. Maybe the cleaners are at one of George’s other three hotels. Shampoo appears every other day, perhaps delivered by carrier pigeon. There’s no hand soap, so I had to decant some from the public toilets. Lighting seems to be a luxury. Ask for a bulb to be changed and you’ll be called a “prima donna.” Your evenings will be spent in pitch darkness, which is great if you’re trying to build night vision. The bathroom sink is only 65 cm off the floor, so every wash feels like training for a squatting championship. Don’t bother with the safe either. The key was supposedly “lost by other guests at the beach” and is still missing. This wasn’t just a bad Monday, it went on for the whole stay. George won’t replace bulbs or safe keys, but he’ll happily start an argument at the drop of a hat. https://youtu.be/hAsAjapxREg?si=djOFRpUrnbn-1EhL Holiday ruined. Just the facts, Your Honour.
