We weren't sure at first about being so far from the main town, but it's a pleasant 20-minute walk downhill, and a taxi back costs 6 euros. The rooms are beautifully put together, the staff are incredible, and the view alone is worth the price. Breakfast was amazing too. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and I can't see why it's only rated two stars. If you're unsure about booking, just go for it.

The hotel balances art and history beautifully. It looks like an aesthetic masterpiece, traditional in style and finished to a high standard in every detail. The owner comes across like an artist who's always working to improve his creation. Alexis gives the best hospitality you could hope for and really wants guests to see the best of the island. Every suggestion he gave us was right on target, and his team is amazing. Breakfast was top quality too, with most products natural and homemade. We had an incredible experience.

Alexis personally welcomed us, shared great local recommendations, and made sure every detail of our stay was right. We genuinely didn't want to leave. He and the team offer warm, careful hospitality that makes you feel at home straight away. High above the port, the property has broad sea views and a quiet, almost wondrous feel from the moment you arrive. It's intimate and distinctive, set into the natural surroundings, with rooms carved out of the rock. They give you an unusual mix of space, comfort, and a close connection with nature. Some people may question the online star rating, but it reflects the lack of certain big-hotel amenities, not the quality of the stay. This hidden gem is unlike anywhere else. If you're after something soulful, unique, and memorable, this is the place. You'll fall in love.
