Maria and Giannis went above and beyond, and made our stay a real joy. The place is beautiful, with a spacious veranda and a pool that was just as clean as the room and bathroom. Our spacious room had a lovely Ionian style and was very well equipped. There was a high end cooker, a big fridge with a freezer, cutlery, and even large bowls for serving watermelon from nearby shops. I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed at Alkionis for five days in early August and had a great time. It was the cleanest place we’ve ever visited, and the pool was clean and big enough for a relaxing swim. The property was lovely and very quiet, even though the center was only 6-7 minutes away by car. Having a parking spot for every room made everything easier. It felt like good value, and I hope to visit again soon.

We were in a top floor apartment, and birds nesting under the roof made so much noise for half the night that it was hard to sleep. The kitchen wasn’t well equipped, and the bathroom wasn’t good either.

We paid 140€/night for seven nights, but the room was cleaned only once the whole time. With kids, that was unacceptable. The shower had no door, so water spilled onto the floor, and there wasn’t a mop to dry it. The location worked for visiting the centre of lefkada, though the nearest beach we liked was at least a 30 minute drive away. Pool hours were 9:00-14:00 and 17:00-21:00. In the garden, you couldn’t stay past 23:59 because someone might be annoyed and call the police. The owner would remind you from 23:00 a clock to keep quiet. If your kids play with other children, they have to stay quiet too, in case someone gets upset. It didn’t feel like the right place for kids. On the last day, although we knew checkout was at 11:00 a clock, the owner sent a message at 9:00 a clock saying we should leave by 11:00. I found that very rude and not at all professional.
