Castello Beach Hotel

This is a good 3-star hotel with friendly service, a lovely design, and a great sea view, especially from the third floor. There’s a big TV in the beach bar for the football championship, a supermarket downstairs, and bus stops in both directions right by the hotel walls. Reception is staffed 24 hours and speaks English. Room service doesn’t speak English. It’s a good fit for people without kids who want to be right in the middle of things. But kids may be uncomfortable here: the hotel is in central Argassi, surrounded by the busiest popular spots, including disco bars with loud music until 4-5 am. The bus stops at the front are always crowded too.

The rooms are okay, but the staff were very rude and unwilling to help. The beach bar was an absolute disgrace. Go to 'Waves' Beachbar, literally right next to it.

A lovely restaurant sits right by the water, and there’s a great cafe at the front of the hotel. It’s a wonderful place to stay, right in the heart of Argassi and right on the water.

We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return next year. It was our first stay at this hotel, though we’ve stayed at six others over the years. The place is lovely, spacious, very clean, and in a great location. My only complaint is the tiny shower cubicle. There’s room for a bigger one, and after showering the bathroom floor was soaking wet.
