Morfeas Hotel

Argos is a small provincial town with fewer tourists, and that's exactly what I liked about it. There is also a great Byzantine museum and an impressive Hellenistic-Roman theatre. I spent three comfortable nights at the hotel, in a large, clean room with a lovely view from my balcony over the lively central square. The hotel has a nice cafe too. I'll choose it again on my next visit.

The staff are very polite and attentive, and my husband Hosein and I felt well looked after. This is a two-star hotel, but the cleanliness and central spot at Syntagma Square, surrounded by bars and restaurants, deserve more stars. Thank you, and God bless you 🙏🏻❤️💖❤️💖❤️

The staff were helpful and easygoing, and breakfast was simple but tasty. Rooms were clean and tidy; the sheets and towels were changed roughly every two days. The cleaning lady tends to rearrange your things, but it always seemed to be for the better. The balcony door did a good job keeping noise out. There were a few small issues: one cracked bathroom tile, a buzzy AC at times, and room and bathroom doors that often stuck because the floor clearance was too narrow. None had much effect on our stay. Parking is manageable, but there are no spaces reserved for hotel guests. Parking is free across the city, though, so if you want a spot near the main square, don't arrive too late. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Argos and traveling around this part of the Peloponesos.

We liked this hotel enough to add an extra night. It's comfortable, modern, clean, and friendly, with a very good breakfast, right in the pedestrian center of this historic town. The listing says two stars, but I'd give it three or more.
