Villa Ermis - The Cretan Castello

Loved this villa. Lovely location, beautiful rooms and garden, and a wonderful host. I can't recommend it enough.

I get nervous when a place has so many glowing reviews, but this one really lived up to them. It's spacious and top notch, with a gracious host and everything you'd want in a vacation villa. If you're after a getaway, I'd trust the reviews and book it.

This was our second visit to Villa Ermis, and we stayed 10 days this time because seven hadn't been enough. The villa was clean, airy and nicely decorated. The kids spent loads of time in the pool, and we enjoyed evening drinks on the roof terrace watching the sunset. With so much space, it was easy to find a quiet corner. Georgios was friendly and kind, and had thought of so much to make the stay easy and memorable. He knew the area well and was always available with suggestions for idyllic beaches, local attractions and tavernas. We hardly needed the guide book. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this gorgeous villa.

The villa was luxurious and comfortable for the whole family, with every amenity we could think of. The pool and grounds were amazing, and the peaceful, idyllic location was still close to all amenities. It was hard to choose a best feature because the whole stay was wonderful. The owner was a perfect host, always reachable and full of useful suggestions for places to visit. He went beyond what we expected and made things special. We had two meals with him at the local taverna; he was a lot of fun and very interesting. We'd recommend staying here to everyone. Many thanks, Georgios, for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
