We'd happily come back. The location worked well for the sights and places to eat, and the rooms were spotless. Housekeeping did a lovely job, and reception staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Breakfast is in a separate building from the main hotel. It's a short walk, across a road that can be a bit busy at times, but that didn't put us off. The kitchen staff were lovely, and there was plenty of choice for different tastes, with lots of juice, coffee, and tea. It's the same selection each day, but still enough to choose from for a good start to the morning. Our only downside was the rooftop bar. The drinks selection felt limited and pricey, though hotel guests did get priority over people waiting in line.

I didn't stay here, but the rooftop restaurant was great. The food was good and the Acropolis looked lovely at night. Ask for a table with a good view.

The location is the main thing this hotel has going for it. There are other places only a few steps away, and I think the views are better a little farther from Monastiraki Square than right in the middle of it. Given the high prices, I found the service below par and wouldn't say it was worth the cost. Room service was a complete failure. I ordered food through the app, waited more than two hours, and checked with reception that the order had gone through. They confirmed it was showing and said they were sorry, but made no effort to make up for it. They still charged me a tax at checkout despite not delivering this key service. The male reception staff were great. One female staff member I dealt with seemed to have trouble reading and made me feel like an intruder when I came back to the hotel after a day out. If staff are going to act that way, give guests wristbands. The rooftop bar staff also seemed to ignore people, with no hello or smile, just staring or looking away. There were problems in the room too. Housekeeping was the bare minimum, and I found a sharp piece of metal behind a pillowcase. The rooms and corridors have no carpet, so footsteps and housekeeping clatter carry loudly past the door. The kitchenette had a two-ring hob but bare cupboards, with no utensils, cutlery, pots, or plates. The fridge was very small and seemed sized for a few bottles, with little room for anything else. There were only four tiny espresso cups, no normal cups for tea or coffee, and no standard or mint tea, just unusual herbal mixes that tasted of thyme and basil. The shower has a small raised edge that's hard to see because the same floor covering runs across each level. Be careful, since someone older or less mobile could trip. At breakfast the fresh juice was already poured into glasses. People lean and breathe over them, flies could get in, and the juice sits there warming up. Guests should be able to pour their own, or they could use a dispenser.

The room was great, and the location and breakfast were the best. The roof bar had delicious cocktails and the best Acropolis view.
