Athens Ikon

Fontana restaurant is just steps away, and we loved the Greek breakfast and cappuccino there. The hotel also arranged our airport transfer, and booking communication was excellent. We had a comfortable room with a nice bed and linens, plus water, coffee, and a fridge. It was a welcoming, safe place to come back to after a day out. The location made exploring easy: there are lots of restaurants, street food, and shops nearby, and the major attractions are within walking distance. You can even see the Parthenon from the street. I’d happily stay here again, and again!

Melissa and Stella made a real difference throughout our trip, from check-in to check-out. They suggested places to eat, things to see, and shops, and were quick to help when our AC wasn’t working properly. They moved us to an equivalent room as soon as one was available. We really appreciated their hospitality. The hotel is easy to get to from shops, restaurants, and sights. The modern, convenient rooms also worked well for our family travelling with children. We loved our stay.

We only stayed one night, but the accommodations, staff, location, and breakfast were all great. I’d heard about noise problems, but we didn’t hear any. We were on the fourth floor, though.

The street noise was awful, so bring a noise machine or be ready for a rough night’s sleep. Breakfast itself was nice, but only one room per half-hour slot could be served. Since we were there with family, we had to wait for the other room before starting our day. We also couldn’t get the time we wanted because other rooms had booked the slots before we arrived. This feels like a glorified apartment Airbnb.
