Athens Ivy Suites

Eve was at reception throughout our weeklong stay, which began on 22 October 2025. She was patient with everything we asked, no matter how small, and always willing to help. We understand she has completed a hotel management course, and we’re confident she’ll represent Athens’ hospitality industry with distinction as her career progresses. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, though a little dated, and a few small improvements could make it more attractive. It was a pleasant place to return to after a day of sightseeing. We were on an upper floor, with a balcony facing the Acropolis and superb views of the monument at all hours. The hotel is centrally located in Plaka, within easy walking distance of major attractions such as the Acropolis, Agora, and Parliament House, with shops and restaurants of all kinds around it.

The only thing that bothered us was the air conditioning. It was set to heating during our stay, and we couldn’t switch it to cooling, so the room felt a bit warm sometimes. Otherwise, we had a wonderful two-night stay as a couple. The location was excellent, the service impeccable, and breakfast at the nearby café was fresh, delicious, and outstanding. We’d definitely come back.

We were made to feel very welcome, and the staff were helpful. Our top-floor room was comfortable and quiet, with spectacular views. The AC was restricted, which was the only downside, but that was because of the time of year. Breakfast was generous and more than standard continental fare, though they’d also bring you just a croissant if that’s all you wanted.

The rooms are very comfortable, and the hotel is in a prime part of the city. The staff were great at making us feel at home. Eva greeted us when we arrived and again at checkout, and along with several other team members made sure we were well looked after. Eva was especially personable and went above and beyond. She’s a real asset to the team and an important part of guest relations. Kudos to her and all the staff.
