Dunlin Hotel

The rooftop views at breakfast were pretty amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. The rooms were a decent size, though getting luggage inside meant tackling a flight of stairs since there’s no lobby. It’s near the old town and about five minutes from Omonia station, which is fairly central. Breakfast was basic but fair for the price, since it was included. Our room faced another building, so we couldn’t open the curtain without looking straight into it. Net curtains would give guests some basic privacy.

The large balcony overlooking the Acropolis and city was a huge bonus, as was the rooftop bar and breakfast area. The location is great for the metro, shops and restaurants, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had recently been renovated, with new tile flooring, a new shower and a jacuzzi tub. The new king-size mattress was very comfortable. I’d highly recommend it and stay again when I’m in Athens.

The rooftop view was excellent, and I found the room comfortable, though it could get a bit hot sometimes. There’s AC. The rooftop staff were excellent, especially the people working the bar at night. Breakfast was good, with local products I miss as a foreigner who left Greece, like olives, yogurt and feta. The rooms and reception aren’t luxurious, but they’re definitely good, and the reception staff were nice. I was back in Greece for a few days on a business trip after several years away. This was the first place I ever lived abroad, and for an experienced traveler who isn’t looking for much luxury, the stay was just what I needed. I miss you, Greece! Take care!

The hotel is well located, with everything close by. The room was cleaned every day and breakfast was ok. Avoid a room on the 7th floor, though, because the kitchen starts working at 6.00 am and wakes you up. We took breakfast boxes away once, and the green “ham” in the toast sandwich was rotten and stinky. 🤮
