The fifth-floor room with a direct view of the Acropolis was the highlight for me. It had a lovely outdoor space, and that iconic view was absolutely worth it. Even during a major sporting event, when the streets were full of people shouting, the room stayed quiet with the doors shut. The soundproofing was impressive. Hotel Hera has a warm, charming feel, with wood finishes and soft lighting that made it a relaxing place to come back to after sightseeing. It's conveniently placed for the Acropolis, Plaka, and walks toward Agora. We rented a car on our last day, and the rental companies were only 150 meters around the corner. Parking is limited at the hotel, but we got a spot without trouble. Breakfast was delicious, with small changes each day. We also ate at the rooftop Peacock restaurant on our first night. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were fun, and our server was kind and friendly. We'll stay at Hotel Hera again. Highly recommended.

The friendly, helpful staff and the convenient location for walking to the sights were the positives. But this hotel is NOT 4 stars. We spent two weeks in Greece and stayed at four hotels rated four stars, and Hera Hotel was nowhere near the standard of the other three. The rooms are old and small, and the amenities were awful. Ladies, bath wash and shampoo in the same bottle? Hard no. If you're booking an acropolis view room, make sure they guarantee the fourth floor or higher, because the view from lower floors is barely visible. For the money, it wasn't worth it. The staff knew we weren't happy with the room standard but stayed friendly and helpful. I'll be keeping an eye on this review because I think they're paying google to remove negative reviews. There must be more people unhappy with this hotel.

Thomas and Demetrius were very helpful, and the location was fantastic. We loved the rooftop restaurant's Acropolis views and delicious food. The braised lamb shanks are especially worth trying. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and they'll make eggs to order too. I highly recommend the hotel, and we'll be back.

The breakfast was very good, with lots to choose from, and the terrace had a lovely Acropolis view. The location is ideal for walking and shopping, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The beds were a bit hard, which some people may like, but I didn't sleep well during my two nights there. We arrived around 6:30 pm, and the two men at the front desk weren't very friendly or forthcoming about the amenities. It felt like we had to draw answers out of them. The rooms were tiny, with barely space to turn around. Our door frame looked warped and shaved, as if someone had tried to pry the door open at some point, which didn't feel very safe. There was also lots of nightlife nearby, so it could be quite loud at bedtime. USA

The location was superb, and our Acropolis view suite was comfortable. We had a very nice stay. We enjoy this kind of hotel in Greece, though some Americans might find the rooms a little cramped and dated.
