Elevate Athens

The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was great, and the staff were genuinely warm and friendly. But the room and building didn’t live up to the boutique hotel image. The decor felt basic and institutional, and the entry and check-in space reminded me of a hospital or YMCA lobby. We also had a plumbing problem: the shower wouldn’t drain and water spilled into the room. No one picked up when we called the night support number, even to ask for extra towels. The sound carried badly too. We were near reception and could hear normal conversations clearly. There was no full-length mirror, and the toiletries were limited to soap and shampoo, with no conditioner or moisturizer. The friendly staff couldn’t make up for the maintenance and sound issues or the lack of attention to detail.

We were so impressed with the Hotel Manager. He made check-in easy by letting us arrive at a time that worked for us, and he checked that everything in our rooms was suitable. When airline problems and cancelled flights disrupted our plans, he called the airport to get useful information and helped us extend our stay. He went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be happier with the support. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We’d definitely recommend Elevate Athens.

Having the metro right outside made it easy to get around Athens. Our room was clean and roomy, with a great Acropolis view. The bed and mattress were excellent, and everything felt brand new. The staff were polite and happy to help with a couple of requests. We really enjoyed our stay and Athens, and we’ll definitely come back!

We had an amazing view of the Acropolis from the room, and the subway is just across the street. The neighborhood isn’t my favorite, though it’s very central. The hotel is modern and clean, on the top floor of an apartment building. The rooms have a minimal look, and the bathroom stood out, especially the large shower. There’s no lounge area.
