The hotel is conveniently placed for getting around. You can walk to the city center along a pleasant route through several parks, or take the subway from a nearby station. It's just two stops to downtown. There are also several good restaurants within walking distance, so finding dinner was easy. Breakfast had a solid selection. We had a very good stay, and the service was a real plus. We were traveling with our young daughter, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a suite so our family would have more room. We appreciated the gesture, and the extra space made us more comfortable. We had a positive experience and would recommend the hotel.

This was my third stay at Ilisia Hotel, and I'm sure it won't be my last. The room was clean and cozy, and we got a warm welcome from the receptionist when we arrived. The staff were excellent again and made our stay really enjoyable. We were surprised to find the minibar was free, since most hotels charge for it, and we also received a voucher for one free drink at the bar. It's a good fit if you want a calm atmosphere close to the city center. Thanks to all the staff for being such great hosts and making the visit memorable.

Our room was a little small, but it did what we needed. The hotel seems well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and quite good, though it gets crowded between 7am-8am, apparently just before the tourist groups are picked up. It would've been nice to be closer to the tourist areas, but the nightly rate would probably be higher there. :-(

We had comfortable accommodation and friendly service, and I'd happily stay here again. Good cafes and restaurants are within walking distance, including OX Chop House next door. The Athens Metro Megaro Moussikis station is about a seven-minute walk away, on the same line as Syntagma and Monastiraki Squares, two and three stops away. Change at Syntagma Square for the Acropolis, so getting to the main tourist areas is easy.

Loved this hotel. Clean, great service, and yummy breakfast. The assistant manager greeted us when we arrived, and all the staff were great. It's easy to walk to the Metro. There was a taxi strike, but the walk was manageable. There are eateries within a 15-minute walk, and I'd recommend Pita Pan €.
