The poor communication made the stay even more upsetting. The host came across as cold and dismissive, with little empathy for the problems, and basically told us we could stay somewhere else if we didn’t like it. That was shocking given how serious the hot water issue was. There was no dependable hot water: neither the tank nor the electric heater worked. For this price, that was unacceptable. Comfort was poor in other ways too. Street noise came through constantly, and the apartment felt badly insulated. It got very cold unless we ran both the air conditioner and a separate electric heater, which were noisy. We also found flies inside. In my experience, this was one of the most frustrating and disappointing stays I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend it.
