The rooms were clean, and the staff were lovely. It's also close to useful places, including a metro station, pharmacy, coffee shops, kiosks, and Delicious Souvlaki, about a two-minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay, especially as a base for spending most of the day out. The neighborhood gave me some concerns at first. We often saw women standing at street corners with men approaching them, but they kept to themselves, nobody approached us, and we generally felt safe. Omonia may not be the most recommended area, but using common sense and avoiding being out alone at very late hours helped us feel fine. Inside, reception was spotless and always smelled amazing. The receptionists were lovely, especially the woman with glasses and dark hair. Housekeeping left the room spotless, made the bed, brought fresh towels daily, and even folded my pajamas and put them under the pillow. I would have liked the option to skip daily cleaning, since we had to keep packing our things away for the cleaners. The bed was comfortable, but its slats kept coming loose. The first time I sat down, one fell out and startled me. When we lifted the mattress, only one slat was fixed to the frame; the others seemed slightly too short and fell out with even small movements. We lost count of how many times it happened. The all-glass bathroom was a bit odd. The door sounded as if it might shatter whenever it opened or closed, and the shower soaked the room however carefully we used it. The water was always hot with great pressure, and the soap was lovely. The showerhead was low on the wall, but it still did the job. There was air conditioning, a balcony, and a pleasantly large mini fridge. When the room next door had its air conditioning on, though, its outside unit made a horribly loud noise that kept me awake a few times. Between that, street noise, and thin walls, it wasn't the quietest place, but earplugs helped.

The hotel is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the center, but the neighborhood felt rough, with prostitutes near the hotel and some sketchy-looking people outside. I didn't feel safe. The rooms are small, and the shower setup is awkward because other people can see you while you're showering. Glad I only stayed one night. I wouldn't stay here again.

We'd booked five nights but left after the first one, and only stayed that long because we had no other option. We arrived very late and immediately felt uneasy about the area after seeing prostitutes outside the entrance. The room didn't help. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom offered no privacy at all: you could completely see and hear someone using it, and showering soaked the whole bathroom. The door also looked as if someone had tried to break in. The frame was damaged where the handle met it, and the key didn't work properly, as though the door had previously been forced open. We checked out the next day, explained our concerns, and asked for a refund because the hotel wasn't truthfully represented online. The receptionist dismissed what we said and refused, telling us we should have cancelled a week earlier. We hadn't seen the place in person then and had expected the online listing to be accurate. Save your money and pay a little more for a proper hotel.

Inside, the hotel was perfectly fine, though the surrounding area is rough. It's a nice little place close to central Athens. Breakfast at their partner hotel around the corner was basic, but enough to start the day if you're on a budget and want to fill up before sightseeing.

We were four people and had a very positive stay. The staff at reception were friendly and happy to help with questions or anything we needed, and the daily cleaning was flawless, with fresh towels every day. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions and public transport. I'd seen reviews saying the street could be dangerous, but we had no problems and nobody bothered us. We highly recommend it if you're after a comfortable, convenient stay.
